Family man, faithful servant, and loyal employee
Martin Turner, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020. He was a loyal and dedicated Triangle employee for 43 years.
In 1972, Martin began his career in construction as a carpenter and eventually earned his title of Superintendent, leading some of the company’s most significant projects. Martin was later promoted to General Superintendent of the company before his retirement in 2015. Martin was a loving family man and a dedicated member of Big Creek Baptist Church in Williamston, SC.
The Turner family holds a special place at Triangle. Three generations of Turner men have held various positions within the company, including Martin’s son Travis — a current 22-year employee and Superintendent managing major construction and preservation efforts at Judson Mill in Greenville. Travis is the third generation from his family to work for Triangle. Martin served as General Superintendent before his retirement, and M.L. Turner worked as a Lead Carpenter before him. The Turner family have been loyal and faithful employees.
We remember Martin and commend his contributions to the Triangle Family and we send our sincerest condolences to his wife Karen, their daughter Amy Davis, their son Travis, and their grandsons, Ross and Dillon Davis, and Eli Turner.
“So sorry to hear this news…I had the pleasure of working with Martin for about 10 years…his laugh was one of a kind, I can hear it now! We will miss having him stop in at Triangle. The Turner family will be in our prayers.”
