N. Tracy Pellett, Board Chairman and son of company founder John D. Pellett, Jr. retires from Triangle Construction Company, Inc. after 57 Years of Service
Nelson Tracy Pellett, company stockholder and Chairman of the Board for Triangle Construction Company, Inc., has retired, effective January 1, 2021. Tracy is the son of company founder, John D. Pellett, Jr.
“I started at Triangle in 1964 when I was 14 years old,” says Tracy. “My dad had to pay me under the table.”
In his 57 years of service, Tracy served as Project Manager, Vice President, President, and most recently, Chairman of the Board. His most notable projects include: Wofford College’s Olin Hall; Christ Church Episcopal School’s New Middle School; GSP Airport South Concourse; and Billy Graham’s Cove Chapel.
“It has been a profound privilege to work for the company my father co-founded in 1947,” says Tracy. “I’ve seen good people come and go, projects start and end, and changes in the market and economy, but the one thing that has stayed true that I have always been able to count on is Triangle’s ingenuity, hard work, and dedication. I am proud of the company my father and his friends started seventy-four years ago, proud that I was able to carry on his legacy, and proud of its bright future. Though I am retiring, it will always be a pleasure to call Triangle ‘Family.’”
Tracy graduated from Auburn University with his Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction. During his career, he served on the advisory board for Clemson University Construction Department for over 20 years. He was certified by the Accreditation for Construction Education (ACCE) to be on the Visiting Team, which reviews construction programs of universities that wish to be accredited or have their accreditation renewed.
Please join Triangle in congratulating Tracy on his retirement. We wish him and his wife, Martha, continued health and happiness as he embarks on this new, exciting chapter.
